St Peter's is a beautiful 12th century thatched church which is open every day. Inside the church are wall paintings, a three decker pulpit, one of the finest organs in the area, and a monument to M R James, the writer and antiquarian. Among other items of interest in the churchyard is the grave of William Sakings, Falconer to Charles I, Charles II, and James II.

There is a photographic guide as well as a written guide in the church, postcards and notelets are available for sale.
